IMPORTANT CHANGES TO REQUESTING REPEAT MEDICATION ORDERING
A guide for patients
We are making some changes to the way that repeat prescriptions are ordered.
From 01.11.19 you will no longer be able to use a third party such as a high street or internet pharmacy to ORDER repeat prescriptions on your behalf. Instead you will need to order repeat prescriptions directly from the practice yourself.
You will still be able to arrange for a high street or internet pharmacy to COLLECT your repeat prescriptions from us and DELIVER medication to your door. However, you will need to order it from us yourself first, and tell your pharmacist when it is ready for collection.
If you require urology appliances such as catheters, incontinence sheaths and drainage bags, you can continue to order these through your existing suppliers
If you are currently supported to take medication using a monitored dosage system ( Dosette Box or blister pack) or you receive stoma appliances, you will not be affected and can continue to use a pharmacist to order on your behalf. However any medication you need that is not normally in your Dosette Box will need to be requested directly from the practice and not through your chemist
If you already order repeat prescriptions yourself then you will not be affected, and you do not need to take any action.
Please allow 48 hrs (2 Working days) for all repeat medication requests to be processed. You cannot request a prescription by Email.
